Start with an equipment identity map
Choose a system and list its tags with their plan location, schedule row, schematic reference, specification section, and controls reference. Mark missing references explicitly. Confirm whether equipment is new, existing, relocated, an alternate, or future work before comparing quantities.

- Controls. Compare the named equipment and operating modes with sequences and control diagrams. Ask who resolves missing interlocks, sensors, or enable signals.
- Support and space. Follow equipment weight, base, curb, or anchorage references into structural and architectural details. Check that installation and maintenance envelopes have a documented basis.
- Specification alignment. Compare material, accessory, and performance requirements with the applicable section. Have the designer identify the governing requirement instead of choosing the convenient value.

After a response, identify the revised sheets and check dependent details before marking the item resolved. A response without coordinated drawing changes may leave the original ambiguity in the issued set.
