General notes against the drawings

Compare design criteria, material designations, and typical requirements in the general notes with what the plans, sections, and details actually show.

Revisions and issue records

Check that clouded changes, revision numbers, and the drawing index agree, and that dependent sheets carry the latest version of a changed requirement.

A practical workflow

From the first pass to a decision

  1. Set the discipline and the sheets

    Upload the current issue for the discipline, choose its preset, such as Structural engineering, and state the scope in the review instructions: for example, plan tags against schedules, or details against the general notes.

  2. Open both statements of the requirement

    For each finding, view the plan, schedule row, detail, or note side by side. Confirm that both describe the same element and that neither is marked as superseded.

  3. Decide what governs and correct the rest

    Have the responsible designer confirm the intended requirement, then update every sheet that states it so the issued set carries one version.
